RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI PELAYANAN MASYARAKAT UNTUK PEMBUATAN SURAT KETERANGAN SECARA ONLINE DI KANTOR DESA SARADAN
Abstract
This research focuses on the development and implementation of a web-based application for online public service for obtaining certificates at the Saradan Village Office, Sragen Regency, Central Java Province. The background of the problem indicates that the process for submitting certificates in this village remains conventional, resulting in long queues, unclear information, and delays due to the reliance on staff and the village head. The manual system is also prone to data copying errors and a lack of application status tracking.
The primary objective of this research is to design and build a web-based public service application that can assist village staff and residents in submitting certificates quickly and efficiently. This application allows residents to submit various types of certificates (SKTM, SKU, SKP, SKD) online anytime and anywhere, and monitor the status of their applications in real time. The system development methodology uses a prototype approach, with stages including requirements analysis, interface design using UML (Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams), system development, and testing.
Test results using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with 30 respondents showed a satisfaction rating of 84.4167 (Grade B), indicating that the application is well-received and functional. Implementation of this system is expected to increase service efficiency, reduce administrative burdens, and improve interactions between the village government and the community. However, intensive outreach to residents and the development of additional features such as email notifications or live chat with customer service are recommended for future improvements.
