Cervical cancer is one of the contributors to women's death rates in the world, including in Indonesia. Cervical cancer is caused by the Human Papilloma Virus which develops in the epithelial lining of the cervix. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and peer support on the motivation of women of childbearing age in early detection of cervical cancer using the IVA method. This research uses a descriptive correlation design with a cross sectional approach. The research sample of 99 was taken using purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate using the chi square test. The results of the univariate analysis of the majority of late adults aged 35-45 years were 53 respondents (53.3%), the highest education was SMA/SMK/SLTA as many as 55 respondents (55.6%), working as housewives were 57 respondents (57.6%). %), the majority of respondents married in their late teens (17-25 years) as many as 64 respondents (64.4%) and the majority of respondents with a history of multiparous pregnancy were 79 respondents (79.8%). The results of bivariate analysis using chi square showed that the p value of the relationship between knowledge and motivation was 0.010 and the relationship between peer support and motivation was 0.002 < α (0.05). There is a significant relationship between knowledge and peer support on the motivation of women of childbearing age in early detection of cervical cancer using the IVA method in the Simpang Baru Pekanbaru community health center area.
